T
he Russian-Ukrainian War is an ongoing war. It initially focused on the status of Crimea and parts of the Donbas, it recognized as property of Ukraine. This controversial news popped everywhere on Taiwanese TV, newspapers, and radio. When we watched the news of Ukraine-Russia conflict, the controversial issue of this topic came to our minds. Through PBL, we want to know closely about this conflict. How it came to this? and why this war is so sudden? Through this project, we divided this issue into three parts: persecution, impact, and solution. However, Ukrainians have fled the country’s borders, Ukrainian refugee crisis is also our main concern.

My iEARN PBL Experience

By Issa

By Arina

Sleeping Problems

Do you have trouble sleeping, are you waking up feeling exhausted, or feel sleepy during the day? We are always questioning, what is sleeping disorder or sleeping problem? Through this project, we are going to recognize the symptoms of a sleep disorder and get the treatment we need for a better sleep. From our knowledge, a sleep disorder is a condition that frequently impacts our ability to get enough sleep quality. Many of us occasionally experience difficulties sleeping. The reason might be stress, travel, illness, or other temporary interruptions of our normal routine. However, if we regularly have problems getting to sleep at night, wake up feeling exhausted, or feel sleepy during the day, we may be suffering from a sleep disorder. Through this project, not only we want to know the cause of the problems and how to solve them, but also, we want to know opinions form our international friends from Palau and Japan.  How to solve sleeping problems? SDG is the key component to find solution to our problems.

My iEARN PBL Experience
By Fiona

With the encouragement of classmates and teachers, a team was formed with other friends - Dream. At the beginning, it went smoothly. Let's discuss the direction, content and briefing together. In the middle, everyone may be a little tired. Gradually, they don't use their spare time to memorize manuscripts. They only practice on Saturday. However, in the final "filming" section, everyone tried their best to recite the manuscript, want to move and make props. Along the way, there was the help of teachers and the encouragement of the team members. We practiced through "punishment" and achieved good results. We got Teyou together. We are very happy to have this experience. I hope it will be better next time.         By Tina

By Mico

E-Waste

As the technology updates so quickly, the price of it gets lower. And, as it gets cheaper, the speed gets replaced faster. Therefore, we should take some actions, such as focusing on the new information about the E-waste. We want everybody to reflect about whether we really need so many electronic devices in our daily lives. As the project continues, we learned about Japanese and American electronic devices for its recycling. More than that we are using SDG 11 and 12 to give a better solution to the problem.

My iEARN PBL Experience
By Hueiling

PBL reflection:
By Olivia

Women’s Rights

Since ancient times, many countries have been dominated by men and paid attention to society, and often ignored many rights of women, including the right to education, the right to work, the right to suffrage, the right to freedom, and so on.  Through this project, we are focusing on gender discrimination in the workplace.  Women, we are the subject of gender based discrimination in the workplace. The purpose is to let everyone know about this by illustrating and looking at the
gender pay gap. Equal pay for the same work is a human right, but most of the time, women are paid unequally.

Reflection
My iEARN PBL Experience
Participating in this competition was not originally in my club plan, because as a student, I hope to focus on schoolwork. But thinking about the ted that I didn't attend last time, I still feel that I have to take advantage of the opportunity, otherwise when the opportunity slips away, it will be too late to turn around. From the very beginning in the preparation stage, I did not contribute a lot to the group because of my academic activities. It was not until the game was imminent that I realized that my preparation was insufficient. Fortunately, there was still time. I want to thank Teacher Nela in particular, because the morale of everyone in our group was a little low, and the teacher silently helped us make props. Seeing this picture became a turning point for me to practice PBL. Since then, I have been more active with team members and team members to work together. A line, an action, and even a paragraph are all coordinated by other team members. Nela said to me, "iEARN's competitions are all about teamwork." Although I didn't participate in the last competition, after this competition, I redefine and understand "teamwork". In fact, the benefits of teamwork are not only to train us in the future In addition to the interpersonal skills in the workplace or in society, you can also taste the joy of sharing results together. Even if I decide to go to the Legal Research Club next semester to study the law I love, I will still apply what I have learned in iEARN and PBL to my life. By Ivonne

By Kiki

By Cleo
