Fengming Yushan

The name of our artwork in Chinese is ”Fengming Yushan” which means a phoenix crows to Mt. Jade (the highest mountain in Taiwan). It was named by professor Tseng from NCKU. The form of it was based on an artwork by Ying-Fung Yang and was made by Yang Feng-Seng in 2005 for Tainan Lantern Festival . It is made of stainless steel and concrete. It is located at An-ping area of Tainan. The five feathers symbolize the 5 races in Taiwan (mainlanders, Hoklo(islanders),Aborigines, Hakka, naturalized alien) and also stands for the five continents. It shows our hope of every race and every continent working in harmony for the greater good and a brighter future for all mankind.
